Arthur David Mastin, age 82, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, following a brief illness. He was born on May 21, 1943, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and had called Lorain home for over 60 years.
Art attended Howard High School in Chattanooga, where he was an active member of the football team. He retired after a long and fulfilling career, though his love for life and his passions continued to shine through in everything he did. His love for these interests stayed with him throughout his life, bringing joy not only to himself but to everyone around him.
Art’s greatest joy came from his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years, Jennifer Denise Mastin; his children Arthur (Shan) Mastin, David (Sharon) Mastin, and Kisha Mastin; and his stepchildren LaTessa (Chris) Howard, Brandy (Rese) Hawthorne-Jennings, and Tara (Douglas) McWhorter. Art also leaves a legacy of love through his 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, who will cherish his memory forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Mastin and Lucille (Harris) Mastin; his brothers James (Bubba) Mastin, Raymond Mastin, Harold Mastin, Charles Mastin, Sr., Irvin (Nick) Mastin, Fred Phillips, and Theodore (Ted) Mastin; and his sisters Dorothy Mae Williams and Beverly Norwood.
