Bishop Franklin Isaiah Huddleston

Bishop Franklin Isaiah Huddleston, affectionately known as “Frank”, was born on March 12, 1939, in Lorain, Ohio, to Claude and Nioven Vella Huddleston.

Franklin lived a full and vibrant life, guided by faith, family, and a deep appreciation for simple joys. He loved music and sports, found relaxation in painting houses, and took pride in his collections of stamps, coins, and sports cards. Traveling brought him new experiences, while yard work was his quiet time with God—a way to reflect and feel at peace. Franklin served his country with honor, retiring after 23 years in the United States Air Force, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, curiosity, and gratitude.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nioven Vella Huddleston; sisters, Shirley Knight and Vella Sims; brothers, Calvin Huddleston and Leslie Huddleston; and son, Bryan Huddleston.

He leaves cherished memories to his wife of 43 years, Dorothy J. Huddleston; children, Alan Huddleston, Kenneth Sinclair (Alicia), Carmen Townsen (Clifford), Wanda King (Aisha), Melissa King, Iris Montgomery, Victoria Huddleston, Tyjiri King, Kzuonne Woody, and Cherie Lewis Warren (William); grandchildren, Feliece Wallace (Brandon), Shaquita Warren-Huddleston, Naquita Warren-Huddleston, Ladonnaca, Lionell, Antonio, Patrick, Salron, Kenneth, Jr., Keonte', Keysean, and Charles; along with a host of great-grandchildren, cousins, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Aiken Funeral Home in Tampa, Florida where services will take place Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 1:30 to 2:45 PM.

Bishop Franklin Isaiah Huddleson will be flown back to Ohio where he will be interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd, Lorain Ohio, has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
