In Loving Memory of Bobbie Holston Jr

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bobbie Holston, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed from us on October 29, 2025.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Holston, and his beloved children: Shona Rose, Erik Holston (with Kim), Damon Holston (with Shasta), Bobbie Holston III (with Latrice), and Kord Gibbons.

Bobbie took immense pride in being a grandfather to 17 grandchildren, including Almakeen "Andy" Raedus, Kristal Israel, Shardae Gibbons, Erik Holston Jr., Kordrick Gibbons Jr., Christian Holston, Kolbi Holston, Damon Holston II, Nehemiah Gibbons, Kailah Holston, Jaime Holston, Dailyn Rose, Tre'Jean Holston, Semaj Holston, Aarionna Holston, and Azariah Holston.

He is also survived by his siblings: Thomas "Bernadean" Holston, Helen Holston-Reeves, Kathy Jackson-Randolph, Rodney Jackson, Sharon Jackson, Joyce Jackson-Cavener, and Debra Lestrick. 

Bobbie was predeceased by his parents, Bobbie Holston Sr. and Dorothy Henderson; his stepmother, Minnie Strickland; his stepfather, Luther Jackson; his siblings, Betty Holston Washington, Roy Holston, Randy Jackson, and Gordon Moore; and his granddaughter, Shardae Gibbons.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.

Journey of Life

Bobbie Holston Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1945, in Ogden, Utah, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and storytelling.

Bobbie proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating exceptional bravery and commitment to his country. His courageous actions on the battlefield earned him the prestigious Bronze Star Medal with Valor, a testament to his dedication and heroism in the face of adversity. After returning home, Bobbie continued to inspire those around him with his stories of resilience and the lessons he learned during his service.

Following his military service, Bobbie embarked on a successful 38-year career at General Motors. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him respect among his colleagues and left a lasting impact in the industry.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bobbie was known for his love of westerns. He often enjoyed classic films that highlighted the rugged essence of the American spirit. He also cherished watching boxing, passionately following his favorite fighters, and spent countless hours fishing, finding peace and joy by the water’s edge.

Above all, Bobbie cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, always prioritizing time with his loved ones. His warm heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering support will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will continue to inspire those he touched.

Family visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
