Charles Lloyd Atkinson

Charles Lloyd "Bo-Chuck" Atkinson went home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 1, 2026. Chuckie was a lifelong resident of Lorain, Ohio (Campedo).

He attended Clearview High School, where he excelled in basketball. Chuckie enjoyed fishing, old school music, pool and he was known as the "Master Spades" player where he enjoyed playing regularly with his brothers. More than anything Chuckie loved his family, especially spending time with them as well as spending time with the neighborhood kids, particularly the youth at Cityview Center.

Chuckie was employed for many years as a supervisor at Elyria Foundry and later retired doing carpentry and landscaping.

Chuckie leaves to cherish is memory his wife of 25 years, Regina Whitfield-Atkinson, his daughters Shayla Atkinson and Raee Janay Atkinson, and son Charles (CJ) Atkinson, and 7 grandchildren whom he especially enjoyed spending time with them as well as spending time with the neighborhood kids, particularly the youth at Cityview Center.

He also leaves to cherish is memory his brothers, Anthony Atkinson, Terry Williams, Bryan Atkinson and Larry Atkinson and sisters, Patti (Howard) Frost, Tammy Atkinson, Jackie Fears and Laurie Atkinson; his in-laws, Willie & Cynthia Arnold, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Chuckie was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma V. Atkinson, sister Shirley Atkinson, and brother Barry Atkinson; his grandparents Thelma Bonilla and Clarence Atkinson; and father-in-law Herman Whitfield.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM at A New and Living Way Ministries, 1510 Cooper Foster Park Road, Lorain OH 44053.
