Christine Pratt

Christine Pratt, 68, of Lorain, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland, following a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Elyria, Ohio, on February 12, 1958, Christine was a lifelong resident of Lorain County. She was well known for her work as a wedding coordinator and for creating beautiful gift baskets. Christine loved working in her garden, tending to her plants, and planning family gatherings—moments she cherished because they allowed her to spend time with the people she loved most.

Christine was a devoted member of New Morning Star Baptist Church in Lorain and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also served on the committee that helped plan the annual Police Ball.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Mattie Mae Pratt and Brittany Marie Pratt; her bonus daughter, Mary C. Howard; her granddaughter, Rashanaee “Rah Rah” Pratt; her sister, Della Howard; her brother, Alonzo Pratt, both of Lorain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Pratt and Mattie Mae (née Jones) Pratt; her siblings, Eddie Pratt, Verna Patterson, Willa Gause, and Sally Johnson; her nephew, Clifton Brown and Winchell Patterson; her niece, Donna Owens; her great niece, Christine Atkinson; and her great nephew, Maurice Hitchens.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Brown Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH 44053. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio.
