Clarence Howard Anderson

Mr. Clarence Howard Anderson was born on January 24th, 1953, to Dorothey Jean Anderson (Barbee) and Dr. Marvin Moore Anderson in St. Louis, MO. He passed away on Friday, October 3rd, 2025, in Lorain, Ohio. Clarence was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Christopher Alan Anderson.

Clarence attended Charleston Elementary School, Hawthorne Junior High School, and graduated as a member of the Admiral King High school class of 1971. Clarence graduated from Lincoln University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in history. He graduated in 1999 from Polaris Career Center completing the apprentice program as an Electronic Technician. In 2004 he completed the Lorain County Community College: Transformation program: CNC Mill and Lathe operations and programming. Clarence worked at York International in Elyria for eight years. For over 20 years Clarence has been a proud union member of U.S. Steel where he retired as an Industrial Electrician in June of 2025.

Clarence was an avid reader of science fiction and history. He loved movies and spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted son and caretaker of his mother, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday.

Clarence is the second of five boys. He is survived by his mother and brothers: Mansur Abdullah (Marvin Moore Anderson, Jr. "Chip" and wife Brenda), Dr. Naeem Abdullah (Keith), and Dr. Eric Anderson (and wife Ellen), as well as many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Clarence was known to his family as a quiet and steady person with a great sense of humor and a ready wit. He was always there to offer help or advice when needed. He was one of the pillars of our family and all our lives are better because of his presence.

Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with a Family Hour from 10am until the Memorial Service at 11am at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053
