Constance Denise Hicks Beverly

Constance Denise “Connie” Hicks Beverly, 68, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday April 19, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio.

She was born July 23, 1956, the daughter of Jack E. Hicks, and Alexine C. (Wilson) Hicks of Sandusky. Connie graduated from Sandusky High School in 1975. She then attended the University of Akron, before returning home.

Connie loved spending time with her family. She was “Nana” to her grandchildren, and a mom to her dog “Zoe”. She loved going bowling, watching football games, and playing games like Pokeno, Monopoly and Spades. She loved to do crosswords and read in her spare time, and she loved the Lord.

Connie leaves behind her son, Demond Hicks of Sandusky; grandchildren Devantè Lanier, Keyana Hicks, and Dalaya Philon; siblings Deborah (Donald) Robinson, and Terrance (Brenda) Hicks; nieces and nephews, Jason, Alexis, and Tanesha Hicks, April (Josiah) Stowers, Erin (Robert) Olvera, Nadia (Michael) Ivory, Ciara and Ce’Von Martin, and son in law Charles Philon, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of other great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Thurston and Leona Hicks; aunts, Gloria Jones and Willie Mae Wilson; sister Jacquelyn Hicks; brothers, Rodney, and Daryl Hicks in infancy; daughter, Dawn Philon; special aunt Dorothy Farrar; and husband, Tyrone Beverly.
