Dale “DJ” Arrington Hahn, Jr., 14, of Sandusky, Ohio, a vibrant young man full of energy, curiosity, and promise, departed this earthly life unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 10, 2011, in Sandusky, Ohio, DJ was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. Between Sandusky and Lorain, he was surrounded by a strong and loving village of family and friends who nurtured, supported, and adored him.
DJ’s joyful spirit shone through in everything he did. He loved spending time at amusement parks, watching football and basketball games, and could often be found immersed in his favorite video games or listening to music. His laughter and excitement brought joy to every gathering.
More than anything, DJ cherished the moments spent with his family—especially his younger brother and sister, who were his greatest companions and friends. His gentle nature, quiet strength, and warm heart made him someone everyone loved to be around.
DJ leaves to cherish his precious memory his parents, Damesha and Jason Yontz of Sandusky and Dale Hahn, Sr. of Sandusky; siblings, Jayce Yontz, Jemma Yontz, Jason Yontz, Amere Hahn, Noah Hahn, and Trah’zae Boyd; maternal grandmother, Minnie E. Taylor; paternal grandmother, Renee Hahn; uncle and aunt, Doug and Carmen Taylor; special cousin, Brayden Taylor; godparents, Eugene and Ashley Dunfee; and a host of loving family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved “PawPaw,” Douglas M. Taylor (2022), and will be laid to rest beside him.
DJ will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know him. Though his time on earth was far too short, his impact was immeasurable. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the quiet strength that radiated from within. DJ’s beautiful smile and his compassion for others will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
His memory will continue to shine brightly as a source of strength, comfort, and love to all who hold him dear.
