Ellen France Flowers
Ellen France Flowers was born to Donna Gene Wilson and Elsworth Wilson in Washington DC on February 22, 1951. She departed this life suddenly on April 19, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain.
Ellen France was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from Dudley High School. After graduation, she moved to New Castle, Pennsylvania, where she was a homemaker and owned a bar in the City. While in New Castle, she joined St. Paul Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member.
In the late 1970's, she decided to relocate to Lorain. After moving to Lorain, she met the love of her life Jeff Flowers, whom she had the pleasure of spending more than 40 years with him, marrying on June 22, 1995.
In 1991, she decided to obtain training to become a STNA and worked in the healthcare field until she had to take early retirement due to illness. Mrs. France became the mother and grandmother to the community. She was known for her cooking and wisdom. She made sure that no one ever went hungry or not have a place to stay. She made sure that people knew that they were loved, but would not hesitant to let you know when you were doing wrong in no uncertain terms.
She leaves in mourning her spouse, Jeff Flowers; children, Indigo Lowe, Edward Luther Lowe (Neicia), Felishia Kimbrough, Roy Johnson, Carole Flowers, Jeffery Flowers, Tyrone Smith, and Tasha Smith; siblings, Elsworth Wilson, Jacqueline Wilson, Tommy Wilson, and Bobby Wilson; grandchildren, Aaron, Aleiah, Edward Jr., Elijah, Nyja, Gia, Avion, Hannah, Chameka, Dajoi, Summary, Sasha, Andrenesia, Andrene, Barry Jr., Deandre (Paige), Diane, Dynasty, Eric, Raekwon, Malaysia, Lyric, Aniah, Anthony, Desrick, Tanae, Tywan, and Tyson; 29 great-grandchildren; godchildren, Renee Price, Deon Worthy, Mussett Blunt-Bennett, as well as many more family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Gene Wilson and Elsworth Wilson; siblings, Karen Wilson, Elliott Wilson, and Eugene Wilson; grandchild, Taja and godchild, Terrell Hurt.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 Noon at Living Word Church, 2002 E. 28th St., Lorain OH 44055.
