Emily Catherine Bryant, 72, of Harrodsburg, Kentucky (formerly of Lorain) passed away June 20, 2026, in Danville, Kentucky.

Emily was born August 7, 1953, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, to the late Wilrow Bartleson and the late Emily Gertrude Bryant. She lived in Lorain for most of her life until she relocated back to Kentucky after retiring from the Lorain City School District, where she served as a teacher for over 30 years. She was a graduate of Wilberforce University, where she earned a degree in education.

Emily loved her work as an educator, which allowed her to develop lifelong friendships and inspire hundreds of students. Her legacy of service and love will continue to live on in all who knew her. Miss Emily enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, reading, and she was an avid basketball fan, supporting the Kentucky Wildcats. She also enjoyed cooking.

Emily leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary Katherine Drummer; her sister, Ruth Ann Bryant; her niece, Ashli (William) Taylor, her nephew, Christoher (Michele) Bryant; and other loving relatives. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Wilrow Bartleson and Emily Gertrude Bryant.

A memorial service reflecting her life and legacy will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd., Lorain OH 44053.
