Fletcher Jerome Windham

Fletcher Jerome Windham, 60, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away in Akron, Ohio on December 2, 2021 surrounded by Love, following a battle with Lupus. He was born on December 2, 1961 in Jones County Mississippi to Willie Lee Windham and Christine (Shelby) Scott. He grew up in Lorain, Ohio where he graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School. He relocated to Akron, Ohio where he was the Owner\Operator of Applause Diversified Home Improvements and Maintenance LLC. He was the Founder & Chief Instructor ofThe Stratum Order Karate-Do Institute, F.C.I.I. Summit County. He was also Coordinator, Program Director & President at the First Community Interfaith Institute. Fletcher enjoyed learning in any and every way possible. He enjoyed listening to and playing and making music. He enjoyed boating, fishing, playing golf and pool, teaching martial arts and family above all else. Fletcher was a beloved husband of 11 years to Tracy L. Arnold and father to Tyshawnda and Adiel Windham of Lorain, Ohio and Samatra and Adom (Jennah Sallora) Windham of Akron, Ohio. He will be sadly missed by his children and stepchildren Tazwell Sutton, Sharee & Lisa Charlton of Kentucky, and Michael Charlton of Lorain, OH; his brothers Larry Windham of Sandusky, OH and Lawrence Scott of Akron, OH; sisters, Jannette Strauder and Carolyn Scott of Akron, OH, Mary Ann Duran-Windham and Sharon Robinson of Lorain, OH and Belinda Windham of Erie, PA; his godson Robert Jr.; 20 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Fletcher was preceded in death by his son Fletcher Jerome Windham Jr.; his first wife Dorothy M. L. Windham; his mother Christie Scott; brothers James G Williams, David Windham and Alan Scott; sister Lorrie Scott; nephew Larry Wayne Charlton; great nephews TyA'air Scott, Charles Pierre-Louis and Martaevus Scott; niece Felicia Warner, and great niece Athena Williams. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 9th from 11AM until time of service at 12 Noon at Living Word Church, 2002 E 28th St, Lorain, Ohio. Following services, family and friends will be received at 2428 Elyria Ave. Lorain, Ohio.
