Ike Kelson

Ike Kelson, 96, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Ike was born in Lutcher, Louisiana, and had been a resident of Lorain for more than 60 years. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lorain. He retired from Lorain Ford Motor Company.

Ike enjoyed fishing, watching Westerns and karate movies, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Ike leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Diane Noble and Gloria Knight; stepdaughters Jacqueline (Samuel) Strout; Mary Johnson; Betty Quattlebaum; Sheila (Anthony) Anderson, and Pamela Anderson; stepsons David Cornwell; Charles Cornell; and Charles C. Anthony Pamela; his companion, Francis Wood; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ethel Carol Kelson, and his grandson, William Anthony Kelson.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Thursday, October 8, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 12:00 noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053. The Reverand Donald Young will officiate.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
