Janet Marie Rush

Janet M. Rush, 58, passed away from a lengthy illness on November 4, 2021. She was born on December 7, 1962, in Lorain, Ohio. She was the daughter of Freddie Rush and Alice (Goosby) Rush. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain and attended Lorain High School and Admiral King High School. Janet was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist church in Lorain where she sang in the choir and served on the Missionary Society. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, babysitting her nieces and nephews, shopping, decorating and drawing.In addition to her late mother Alice (Goosby) Rush, she was predeceased by her brothers Melvin Rush and Bruce Rush.Janet is survived by her daughter, Nichole Rush of Lorain, two grandchildren, Na’Miah Barnette and De’Andrae Barnette Jr., both of Lorain; her father, Freddie Rush of Lorain, sisters Annette (Rush) Kelley of Lorain, Patricia (Rush) Byers of Georgia, Carol (Rush) Drake of Lorain, Stephanie (Rush) Glover of Lorain, brothers Frederick Rush of Columbus, Ron Rush of Lorain, Vincent Rush of Massachusetts, twin brother Jerome Rush of Lorain, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.The viewing will be held at 11:00AM and the funeral service will follow at 12:00P.M. on Friday, November 12th, at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio. The burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
