Jeannette Byrom

With profound love and deep sorrow, the family of Jeannette Byrom announces her peaceful transition from this earthly life on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. Jeannette embraced life with generosity, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those she loved and served.

Jeannette lived a life marked by purpose. She found joy in meaningful things such as cooking meals that brought loved ones together, maintaining a warm and welcoming home, and devoting her heart to caring for children with special needs, a calling she cherished deeply.

A committed lifelong learner, Jeannette earned degrees from Bowling Green State University, Ohio Business College, Lorain County Community College, and Sanford Brown College. She believed in education, service, and the power of uplifting others through knowledge and kindness.

Her passions included poetry, cooking, and caretaking, each reflecting her creative soul and nurturing nature. Her words inspired, her meals united, and her loving care touched countless lives.

Jeannette leaves to treasure her memory her daughter Lisa (Vernon Sr.) Hughes, her grandson Vernon Hughes Jr., and her sons Christopher, Gary Jr., and Eric. She is lovingly remembered by her companion, Keith Robinson, her niece Appolonia Casner, her nephews Prince Casner and Spartacus Casner, and her sisters Wonda (Michael) Blount, Rhonda Morries, Faith Hairston, and Brenda Franklin. Her brothers Bud Morries, Franke Morries, Terry Morries, and Sonny Morries also hold her memory close. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended loved ones who cherished her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Byrom Sr., her son Carlton, her mother Liza B. Morries, father James Morries, and siblings Sarah, Linda, and David.

A Celebration of Life for Jeannette Byrom will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
