Jeffrey Tillman Sr

Jeffrey Tillman Sr., 63, of Elyria, passed away August 14, 2023 in Fort Worth Texas, following a lengthy illness.
 
Jeffrey was born February 7, 1960 in Elyria, Ohio where he was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Midview High School in 1976. He was an outstanding athlete at Midview where he played football, broke records, and was inducted into the Midview Hall of Fame. He retired as a tow motor operator.
 
Jeffrey was a member of Living Word Church of Lorain, Ohio. He was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan and enjoyed fishing and shooting pool.
 
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Raynell Tillman (née Anderson); his children, Jeffrey Jr. (Leticia) Tillman, Lee (Erica Greta) Anderson, Caprice (Joseph) Gaston, Shaniqua Lewis and Pierre Alston; two adopted daughters, Azarrieah Brooks, and Keela Jones; a host of grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Matthew Tillman; an aunt, JoAnn Brown; a special sister-in-law, Sharon Duhon (second wife); sisters-in-law, Virginia Anderson and Phyllis Jones; three brothers-in laws; and a host of other loving family and friends.
 
Jeffrey was preceded into death by his parents, Gordon and Mary Tillman, a brother, Richard Tillman, a sister, Christine Tillman, and a grandson, Morgan Smarr.
 
Visitation will be held Friday August 25, 2023 from 2pm until of service at 3pm at Faith Ministries, 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain.
