Jerry Kilby Sr

Jerry Kilby Sr., 52, was born February 25, 1973, in Elyria. He entered eternal rest on October 16, 2025, after a courageous fight, finding peace in God’s arms. Though we will miss him deeply, his legacy will live on forever in the countless lives he touched. Jerry truly did God’s work on this earth — always giving, helping, and inspiring others with his kindness, laughter, and love.

A true entrepreneur, Jerry was the proud owner of J.A. Kilby Enterprises and Dirty Donkey Tavern & Grill. He was someone you could always turn to for advice, a good laugh, or encouragement. His passion, determination, and heart for others left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Monica Kilby; his children, Jerry Kilby Jr. (Amber Kilby), Samantha Jessel (Michael Jessel Sr.), and Selena Kilby (Justin Murphy); his mother, Jill Adkins; and his grandchildren — Michael Jessel Jr., Alena Murphy, Brantlee Jessel, and Jayla Kilby. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Kilby, and brother, Fred Kilby Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Allen Kilby Sr.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at the Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain OH 44053.

Jerry’s spirit will continue to live on through his family, his work, and the many lives he touched. Rest in peace, Jerry Kilby Sr. — you will never be forgotten.
