It is with profound sadness and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Jerry White Sr., who departed this life on August 20, 2026, at the age of 74.

Through his rebirth in Christ, Jerry became a loving father, proud grandfather, and a humble man of faith whose life was a testament to love, perseverance, and redemption. He carried himself with quiet strength and unwavering integrity, touching the lives of all who knew him.

In his early years, Jerry served in the Marines and worked as a skilled welder, taking pride in his craft and providing for his family through honest hard work. Beyond his profession, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved roller skating, fishing, going to the movies, and gathering with family and friends on holidays and for cookouts that created cherished memories for generations.

Above all else, Jerry treasured his family, preceded in death by his parents Clearance and Allene White. He always expressed his love and care for his wife, Gwendolyn White. He was a proud father to Jerry White Jr. (Anitra), Carl White, and Allura Taylor (Orlando). He was a beloved grandfather to Jurnee Taylor, Sky Taylor, Leeah Taylor, India McLaurin, Tre Wilke (Iza), Jrya White, Jeydon White, Maalik Crim, and Mylesha Shultz (Spencer), each of whom brought immense joy to his life. His greatest happiness came from watching his family grow, sharing in their accomplishments, and creating lasting memories with those he loved most.

Jerry also leaves behind other cherished family members who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts: Pam Crumpton, Vanessa Crumpton, and Eleasha Sledge, along with many extended relatives and dear friends.

A humble man of faith, Jerry believed that his family was his greatest blessing and his greatest accomplishment. He was known for his warm presence, gentle spirit, and grateful heart. Jerry was constantly thankful for the time he was given to strengthen his bond with his children and grandchildren, cherishing every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved most. His unwavering devotion to family, kindness toward others, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. His wisdom, laughter, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and in the lasting legacy of love, faith, and family that he instilled in all who knew him.

Jerry White Sr. will remain forever in our hearts, and his life will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know and love him.
