Joanne Thomas

Joanne Thomas, 68, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Mercy Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Joanne was born in Lafayette, Alabama, and relocated to Ohio in the late 1960s. She was a retired cosmetologist and worked for many years at Best Cuts. Joanne enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She also made it a point to honor those who had passed before her by visiting cemeteries and delivering flowers.

Joanne leaves to cherish her memory her companion, Theodore Graham; her son, Anthony Thomas; four grandchildren, Anthony Thomas Jr., Logan Anthony Thomas, Aaliyah and Brianna Gault-Thomas; her two sisters, Linda Smith Berry and Dorothy Lee Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Frank Thomas Sr. and Lillian V. Thomas; and her siblings, James Talley, Sarah Talley, Gloria Mitchell Thomas, Joe Thomas Jr., Frank Thomas, Angie Thomas, Alice Finley, and Kim Thomas.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Thursday, September 17, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio.
