John Henry Jefferson

John Henry Jefferson, 77, of Sandusky, transitioned from this life on Monday, April 10, 2023 in Providence Care Center following a lengthy illness. John was born November 7, 1945 in Bassett, Virginia and had been a resident of Sandusky, Ohio for over 50 years. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, where he served as a Deacon. He was known for his plumbing jobs and carpentry work throughout Sandusky. John leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Ethel (Thomas) Owens and Julia Barbour, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jefferson; his father, Hiawatha Jefferson and his mother, Christine Estes Jefferson; three sisters, Elizabeth Manns, Loraine Rowe and Martha Williamson, and a brother, Raymond Jefferson. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ, 1814 2nd Street, Sandusky OH 44870. Pastor Supt. Ross-Johnson will officiate.
