Joseph Isaiah Moore

The family would like to announce the passing of Joseph Isaiah. Moore, 61, on Thursday, September 10th, 2026, after battling a long illness.

He was born on May 19, 1965, in Bay Village, Ohio and raised in Lorain, Ohio. He got his G.E.D. and degree in History at Ohio State University.

Joseph enjoyed his family and backyard get-togethers, cooking his special recipes. He loved fishing, listening to music, and was a pro at fixing cars. He loved to read books and knew the bible from front to back. He was very intelligent; he loved to study history, remodeling homes, and had a love for traveling. He never judged and always had friends.

Joseph is survived by his sisters; Joann Moore Gordon (Kenneth R. Gordon, Sr.) of Lorain, Ohio, Shirley A. Moore of Dayton, Ohio, and Sara L. Alston of Orlando, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his mother, A. Mary Wilson, his father, Willie Edward Moore, Sr., his brother, Willie Edward Moore, Jr., and his grandparents, Mary Smith Williams and Lottie Bell Moore.

Joseph will be greatly missed by his relatives and friends. May the memory of him live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
