With hearts full of love and a smile through our tears, we celebrate the life of Judith Marie Kocak Werling. — born on May 26, 1959, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend—who danced her way into heaven on January 14, 2026.

Judy lived life at full volume and full speed. She loved staying fit, dancing to great music (and unapologetically dancing to not-so-great music), and laughing in a way that made everyone else laugh whether they wanted to or not. If there was water nearby—an ocean, a lake, or anything in between—Judy was happy. That’s where she felt most at peace, probably planning her next adventure.

Beautiful inside and out, Judy was as smart as she was fun. She graduated as Valedictorian of her college class and excelled at anything she put her mind to. But her true gift was people. Judy never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t talked to yet. If you spent time with her, you were guaranteed two things: a good time and the unmistakable feeling that you mattered.

Judy was generous to her core, endlessly loving, and always ready to show up—no matter the distance, no matter the circumstances. Her faith and her love for her Lord and Savior were central to her life, and she shared that love as freely as she shared her joy, her kindness, and her energy.

Judy lived her life for Jesus, and her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, loudest cheerleader, and most reliable presence. If someone she loved needed her, she was already on her way.

Though we miss her deeply, we know heaven just got a lot livelier—definitely louder, unquestionably more fun, and almost certainly dancing.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Adam Kocak Sr.; her mother, June Rose Bolliger-Kocak (married 71 years); her brothers Richard Adam Jr., Stephen Thomas, Joseph Richard, and Tyrone Michael; her sisters Dineen Marie Kocak and Barbara Jean Dimacchia; and her sister-in-law, Candice Kocak.

She leaves behind four children who were the center of her world: Keith Spartano; Tiffiny (Charley) Slone; and twins Amber and Ashton Werling. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Elijah, Cassidy, Ciera, Nehemiah, Isaac, and Louis, each of whom brought endless joy to her life. Judy is also survived by her siblings: Verna (Ron) Moore of Boynton Beach, FL; Adam (Sherry) Kocak of Dublin, OH; Ashley (Ted) Keskinen of Southern Pines, NC; Robert Kocak of Uniontown, PA; James Kocak of Lorain, OH; Jeffrey (Susan) Kocak of Sheffield Lake, OH; Anthony (Jody) Kocak of Sheffield Village, OH; and Jonathan Kocak of California.

In true Judy fashion, we imagine her now—laughing loudly, dancing freely, and reminding everyone around her to enjoy life just a little bit more.
