Lendia Dolores Whitfield

Lendia Dolores Whitfield, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2021. Lendia (lovingly known as Linda) was born November 20, 1950 to the union of Andrew and Vinester Whitfield. Lendia was a joy to all who met her and her infectious smile (with those dimples) were amazing. She enjoyed her family, cooking, laughing and going to the sweepstakes. She also loved the Lord. She formerly was employed at US Steel and was a longtime employee of the Marriott Corporation before her retirement. Lendia will be sadly missed by her son, Marcus D. Whitfield, her grandchildren: Mar'naja, Marcus Jr., Malaya, Mari'ona, My'Anner Lee and Kalaya Flint of Lorain, OH, her sisters, Marie (Thomas) Wilson of Lorain, OH; Debra (Emmanual) Beauford-Conrad of Missouri City, TX; Theresa Whitfield, Sheran Whitfield and Andre Gage of Lorain, OH; and Mary Whitfield of Canton, Mississippi, her brother, Charles “Gene” Whitfield of Sandusky, OH, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other loving family/friends. Lendia was preceded in death by her son, Mario Scott Whitfield, her parents, Andrew and Vinester Whitfield, brothers, Johnnie B. and Henry “Mike” Whitfield and sister, Anner “Anna” Whitfield, nephews, Gregory Whitfield and Dion Whitfield and niece, Andrea L. Whitfield. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Social distancing and wearing a mask are required.
