Leshannon Allen Byrd

Leshannon Allen Byrd, 50, of Elyria, passed away on May 21, 2025, at Western Reserve Hospice in Westlake after a brief illness.

Born on June 19, 1974, in Lorain, Ohio, Leshannon was a lifelong resident of Lorain County. He had a deep love for music, enjoyed playing cards, and cherished spending time with his family.

Leshannon leaves behind his beloved daughters: Shonta (Alex), Shotel, Sierra (Mordecai), and Shanita, along with a host of grandchildren. He is survived by his father, Frank Byrd, and his siblings: Suknekka (Steven) Casteel, Du’Shon (Lloyd) Lee, Antiguan Byrd, Jimmeellee Smith, and Ashyomill Smith. He also leaves behind a loving extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Smith; stepfather, Jimmie Smith; and granddaughter, Alexa MiAmor.

Private services were held in honor of Leshannon’s memory.
