Linda Ann Knight

Linda Ann Knight, age 79, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. Born on May 16, 1947, she was the only child of Viola and Willie Hill.

Linda was the beloved wife of Larry Dale Knight and the proud mother of Shari Wood, Lauri Knight, and Ashley Knight. She was also a loving stepmother to Jason Davis, Pamela Knight, and Natisha Knight. Family meant everything to Linda, and she found her greatest happiness in caring for and spending time with those she loved.

Linda leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Teshanna Wood, Philip Wood, Tiffani Wood, Israel Knight, Carter Moumouni, Kingston Dawes, Tia-ja Knight, Tamara Knight, and Tiana Knight; and her adored great-grandchildren: Landis Randleman, Londyn Wood-Garrett, Isaiah Garcia, and Josiah Monserrate.

Though she was an only child, Linda was blessed to form lifelong sibling-like bonds with her extended family, whom she loved dearly and considered among her greatest blessings.

She also leaves behind her Goddaughter, Agenda Bonner; her special sister, Bernice (Lonell) Taylor; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Helen Prophet,

Edna Knight-Batie (Thomas), Sarah Hunter (John), Della Knight, Johnnie Mae Davis, and Lewis Knight; special nieces, Zana Rice and Megan Rice; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.

She was a proud member of the Sandusky High School Class of 1965. After graduation, Linda dedicated more than 40 years of service to the community through her work at Good Samaritan Hospital, Memorial Hospital, and Firelands Community Hospital, now known as Firelands Regional Medical Center. During her time as a Ward Clerk in the Labor and Delivery Unit, she was known for her warm spirit, kindness, and ability to make others feel welcomed and cared for.

Linda was a devoted member of Mount Zion Church of Christ, and her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life. She will be remembered for her grace, compassion, and willingness to help others, touching countless lives with her generosity and love.

She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed shopping, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family. Whether gathering for holidays, celebrating special occasions, or simply sharing everyday moments, Linda created memories that will be treasured for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her dear friends, Sharon Ellington and Louise Bonner; and many beloved family members and friends.

Linda's legacy will live on through the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched with her kindness, faith, and love.

Memorial services will be at 12pm on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Mt. Zion C.O.G.I.C. 1814 Second St, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, with Pastor Ricky Knight officiating.
