Lois Jean Billings, 79, graduated to her Heavenly Home, to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on January 31, 2026. She championed her illness for a long time.
She was born, December 27, 1946, in Eldorado, Arkansas, to the late Lennis and Lucille Billings. She moved to Lorain, Ohio, in 1960 with her family, Florence Heath, and resided in Lorain until her transition.
Deaconess Lois Jean Billings was a Charter Member of Love Koinonia Fellowship Church. She proudly served as a Deaconess, on the Mother's Board, as an Usher, and on the Kitchen Committee. Wherever her Church and Pastor would go, she was always present within and/or without the City of Lorain, Ohio. Her car was available to help transport. Her major focus was to find a permanent location for her Church. She consistently looked and included others in this task with sincerity.
Lois Jean Billings was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars.
Lois was a proud mother of all four of her sons. Jean was extremely proud of her sons' sports activities, with the utmost support for each of her sons. Her grandchildren put a major smile on her face.
Jean was a very outspoken woman. She would say whatever was on her mind, without a second thought. She loved: bingo, casinos, sports, cooking holiday meals, cornbread dressing, and pies.
She was preceded into the Afterlife by her parents; Lennis & Lucille Billings; brother; Lennis Billings, Jr.; sister; Delois Pippens; daughter-in-law; Jill Billings; children's father; William Dowell; stepson; Ricky Dowell.
She leaves to cherish her memories; sons; Lymell, Steve, Lance and Javan Billings; 8 stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; cousin; Florence Heath; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
