Lucretia D Williams

Lucretia Williams passed away at her home Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in Lorain, Ohio. She was 52 years old.

Lucretia was born July 16, 1971 in Lorain, Ohio to Marsha Terry and Carl Williams. She was a proud graduate of Lorain High School and went on to attend and graduate from Wilberforce University in Xenia, Ohio. She has always been a civil servant at heart with herself frequently having teaching and/or social services related occupations.

Her favorite past times included listening to music and watching movies. Some of her favorite music artists included Minnie Riperton, Lauryn Hill, a Tribe Called Quest, and Mary J Blige. Her favorite shows would range anywhere from Star Wars to Pootie Tang. You just never knew with this lady and we aren't going to get into how many times she watched the same episodes of the Heat of the Night.

Lucretia had the biggest heart and was a mother figure to many. She often volunteered herself as the family's babysitter. All the kids loved them some Auntie Cretia! She had a vibrant personality accompanied by a smile and laugh that could brighten any room. She was never afraid to try new things whether it be a new recipe or moving to a new city/state. She always had a 'Just Go for It' attitude.

She is survived by her 5 children, Alaysia Williams, Nicholas Williams, Alexis Williams, Anaya Williams and Nasor Payne; her parents Marsha Terry and Carl Williams, stepfather, Wayne Terry; stepmother, Janice Williams; her sisters, Carla Williams and Sisely Terry; her brothers, Adrian Williams and Brandon Hawthorne and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Minnie and John Williams, Doris and James Huff and her favorite partner in crime, Jacqueline Brown.
