Marc Leviticus Taylor

Marc Leviticus Taylor, 18, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Affectionately known as “Marcie,” “Rakks 100,” and “Scazy,” Marc was a lifelong resident of Elyria. He was a proud member of the Elyria High School Class of 2026, where he graduated with honors. During his high school years, Marc consistently achieved High Honor Roll recognition and was known as a high achiever academically.

Marc was employed at Wesleyan Village Nursing Home in Elyria, where he worked in the dietary department. He was known for bringing joy to the residents, who appreciated his company, kindness, and compassionate heart. His compassion was not limited to his workplace—it was a quality he displayed everywhere he went.

Marc was always kind, caring, and compassionate. Some considered him to have an “old soul.” He loved showing affection to his family and bringing happiness to those around him with his bright smile and beautiful dimples.

Marc enjoyed playing video games and was a bona fide gamer. He also enjoyed playing basketball and music. Marc was a gifted singer with a tremendous heart and a spirit that touched many people.

Marc leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ashley Grantham; his uncle, who was like a father to him, Perry Grantham Jr.; his brother, Josiah Grantham Sr. (Taylor Majoras); his sisters, Chylla Grantham-Taylor (Christian Elder) and Onnika Grantham-Taylor; and his nieces and nephews, Josiah Jr., Sai’Yaor, J’Tayum, A’Milyon, Ah’Kyus, Khristin, and Kai’Yahni.

He is also survived by his grandmother, Leslie Jackson; grandfather, Perry Grantham Sr.; great-grandfather, Elder Cletus Grantham; aunt, Barbara Ann Paige; and a host of uncles, aunts, and other loving relatives and friends.

Marc was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Julia Jackson; great-grandfather Willis Jackson Jr.; great-grandmother, Geraldine Grantham; and his uncle, Neil Hamilton.

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Greater Christ Temple, Elyria, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be at New Russia Township Cemetery, Oberlin, Ohio.

Marc will be lovingly remembered for his compassionate heart, academic accomplishments, infectious smile, love of music and gaming, and the joy he brought to everyone blessed to know him.
