In Loving Memory of Owen Williams Jr.

Owen Williams Jr., 66, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 5, 2025.

Born in Lorain on November 3, 1958, Owen was a lifelong resident of the city, though his family roots trace back to Detroit, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, watching television, and listening to music—simple pleasures that brought him peace and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Williams Sr. and Verline Williams; brothers, James Sr., George, Terri, Leo, and Dwight Williams; and sisters, Linda Hawthorn, Nanette Williams, and Cynthia Williams.

Owen is lovingly remembered by his significant other, Anita Sutton; his son, Travis (Anita) Wright; stepsons, Felix (Colleen) Sutton, Doug Patton, Micheal Patton, and Eric Patton; stepdaughter, Stacy Patton; and a special niece, Verlaija Williams. He was a proud grandfather to Travis Jr. of Seattle, Washington; Brooklin Williams; Travija Wright of Lorain; Jasyria, Ja’zell, Jakyi, Jalyear, Ariya, Jalayia, Felix Sutton III, Brook Brown, and Xzavion Sutton, all of Lorain.

He is also survived by his sisters, Regina Broadnax of Detroit, Michigan; Stephanie (David) Blair and Michelle William of Lorain; brothers, Darius Williams of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Garland (Wilma) Perry, and Micheal Williams of Lorain; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A private family service was held in Owen’s honor.
