Ricky (aka Slick, Pulla, & Juny Blanco) Smith II, 31, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home. He was born on Friday, January 3, 1992, in Lorain, Ohio. He was a lifelong resident of Lorain. Although Ricky’s time was short here on earth, he made an everlasting impact on everyone who he encountered and, in his death, lives will be changed positively.
He graduated from Admiral King High School in 2010. He worked at Ford Louisville Assembly Plant as an Assembly Line Tech, and FedEx-Grove City until he began his entrepreneur journey. Ricky had much success as a business owner with R.I.C.H. Enterprise Event Promotions, International City Pressure Washing, and Opulent Transportation.
Ricky had many goals, dreams, and aspirations to be a serial entrepreneur. He was very knowledgeable about the things he wanted to accomplish because he did his due diligence researching about it and networking. He wanted to leave a financial legacy for his children and retire his mother early, so she could spend unlimited time with her grandchildren.
Ricky was very caring and passionate about giving unjudgmental and genuine love to EVERYONE he met. He was always willing to provide a helping hand to anyone in need. Ricky always had nothing but positive and encouraging words for everyone he spoke with. He especially loved spending time with his children, all his family members and friends, hanging out and attending various outings.
Ricky was known for dressing in the latest fashions and would critique his outfits until he got it to perfection. Ricky was a dapper fashionable stylish young man with a cologne fragrance to match. He also enjoyed playing basketball, bowling, traveling, and listening to different genres of music.
Ricky exemplified and sanctified the importance of keeping his personal life private as a Party Promoter and popular individual. Which speaks volumes in today’s world where everything is broadcast on social media. He utilized those platforms in a proper way to promote his business.
Ricky leaves to cherish his memory sons: Ricky Smith III and Rylan Smith, both of Lorain; daughter Ava Smith, he called Babe, of Lorain; parents Trina Smith and Ricky (Aldrenna) Smith, all of Lorain; God-children: Marquis Capers and Josiah Cheers, both of Lorain; sisters: Demetria Lee, Triniti Beard, Rickiyah Smith, and Arieanna Hairston, all of Lorain; Eugenia Rollins & Ringenia Rollins of Atlanta, GA; brothers: Tyrese Moore of Hemet, CA, Ricky Garcia of Louisville, KY and Karrengton Wade of Lorain; family dog Tobi; aunts: Tamarie (Alex) Vaughn, Mary Ann McGee and Marilyn (George) Smith all of Lorain; great aunts: Bertha Davis of Lorain; Thelma Davis of Carrollton, MD, and Dorothy Nicholson of Carbondale, IL; uncles: Micah Smith, Marlo (Tristin) Smith, Joseph (Candice) Ivey, and James "Al" (Michelle) Ivey of Lorain; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents George & Tobitha Smith and paternal grandparents Leandra & Willie Mae Smith; aunts: Carrie Mae Smith, Joyce Ivey, Marie Smith; cousins: Marlo “Monte” Sanford and Alexis Vaughn; and nephew Charles (Fubu) Pierre-Louis.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Avenue, Lorain, OH 44052.
