Rochelle Lee Smith

Rochelle Lee Smith of North Ridgeville, Ohio made her transition on Oct. 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 1st, 1958, in Cleveland, Oh. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Carol Dumas and her father Lewis Clyde Smith. Rochelle graduated from Lutheran East High School in Cleveland Heights and later attended Lorain County Community College gaining her Associates Business Administration. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University. Rochelle was a servant leader. She volunteered in various schools throughout Cuyahoga and Lorain County. She also volunteered and worked for the Diocese of Cleveland. While living in Lorain County, she worked at LCCC (Early College) as a Success Coach. She later worked at Rapha Academy where she tutored in English, Social Studies and writing in their school aged after school program. Unfortunately, due to health challenges, she stepped down from her passion in 2017.

She was a faithful member of Full Gospel Faith Fellowship Church where she enjoyed scripture reading, worship and leadership. Rochelle loved her family, she helped tutor and teach her granddaughters in between watching Judge Judy, her favorite TV show. Rochelle was an avid reader. Rochelle’s faith in Christ was her anchor.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Rosalynne Atterberry, (N. Ridgeville, OH), her son-in-love, Santana Hudson (Cleveland, OH), her brother, Lewis C Smith II (Cleveland, OH), 2 granddaughters, Sereniti and Skye Hudson and the love of her life, Ronald J Jackson, a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and other relatives.

A memorial will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Full Gospel Faith Fellowship Church, 700 Gulf Rd. Elyria OH 44035, where the repass will follow the service. You may contact Candace Bolarinwa at the church, 440 327 1221.
