Rose Marie Walk-Graves

Rose Marie Walk-Graves, 68, of Akron, Ohio formally of Sandusky departed this life surrounded by the ones she loved the most on November 14, 2022.  Ree, as so many have grown to know her was born January 22, 1954, in Meridian MS to the late Horace and Betty Lou (Abernathy) Walk. Ree at an early age relocated to Sandusky with her parents and continued to live there until she moved to Akron with her brother Bobby whom she adored. Rose attended Sandusky High School, and after high school she went to work at Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky until she retired.  After retiring she devoted all her time to her family. Rose loved to go shopping (especially for the jewelry that she was known to wear), and cooking for her family especially when everyone came together for family holidays or cookouts.  The family always knew when Ree was there because all the jokes would start, and you would hear her contagious laugh. Ree leaves to cherish all her memories, her son Teddy Walk of Sandusky, Marla Walk of Akron, Ohio, and Rosetta Walk (Lamar Jones) of Covington, Georgia; her grandchildren that she loved so much Katherina Haskins, Katalina Haskins, Rashawn Hunter, Deja Copeland, Malaya Copeland, Tiana Payton, Kavosceea Payton, Mariah Payton, Tya Walk, Trayvon Walk, and Tavarea Myers Sister Cathy Walk Brothers, special brother Bobby Walk, Darnell Walk, Daniel Walk, and Donald Walk. Special  Niece ReJena Bettice Effea Walk Special Aunt Betty Ann Newell and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Ree was proceeded in death by her parents Horace and Betty Lou( Abernathey ) Walk brother Louis Walk, two brothers in infancy Ricky and Glenn Walk, Maternal grandparents J.C. and Susie Turner Abernathy, Paternal grandparents Arvel Gowdy and Sadie Walk granddaughters Jala Copeland &  KhaVeya Calhoun, and a grandson Demetrius Evans Visitation will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 11 AM until time of service at 12 noon at Emmanuel Temple Pentecostal Church Of The Apostolic Faith 128 East Adams Street, Sandusky, where Dr. Eugene T.W. Sanders is the Pastor.
