Rosie Mae Williams

Rosie Mae Williams, age 90, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 5, 2025, at University Hospital in Elyria, Ohio.

Rosie was born on April 8, 1935, in Whitfield, Alabama, and had been a proud resident of Lorain for more than 70 years. She retired as a supervisor from Natalina Pizza Company after 20 years of dedicated service.

A faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church of Lorain, Rosie formerly served as church treasurer and on the Mothers Board. She found joy in shopping, reading, listening to gospel music, dancing, traveling, and most of all, spending cherished time with her family.

Rosie leaves behind her loving husband of 71 years, Walter C. Williams Sr.; her children, Theresa Houston, Walter Williams Jr., Cheryl Williams, Bobby (Anita) Williams, and Diane Williams; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Joe Houston, Ida Thomas, Leroy Chaney, David Chaney, and Tommy Chaney; a host of other relatives and two special friends, Janie Williams, and Lucinda Cross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Booker T. Chaney and Ardella Chaney (née Houston), and siblings Geraldine Maye, Bessie Keys, Jason Houston, Barbara Houston, Irene James, Pearl McNeely, James R. Chaney, and Spencer Chaney.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 5pm – 7pm at the Brown-Robinson Funeral Home Celebration Center, 6075 Middles Ridge Rd., Lorain, OH 44053, where funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
