Silas Clayton Henry III

Silas Clayton Henry III, 17, of Lorain, formerly of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Silas, affectionately known as “Papa” and “Boo,” was born on October 28, 2008, in Lorain, Ohio, and spent most of his life in Elyria.

Silas was a senior at Lorain High School, where he was an honor roll student. He enjoyed playing basketball and had a love for football from an early age. He played football with the Mini Pioneers and also participated in sports in the Midview School District.

Silas was employed at Popeyes on the Turnpike and Crab City. He was a young man who was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Silas leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Arieon D. Al-Jeleel; his father, Silas Henry Jr.; his four sisters, C’hyna, Ari-Lynn, Kenzie, and Stormii; his grandmothers, Claudette Jackson and Pamela Henry; grandfathers, Silas Henry Sr. and Abdullah Al-Jeleel; his godmother, Lisa Shannon; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.

Silas was preceded in death by his aunt, Alicia Al-Jeleel; great-grandmother, Charlene Jackson; Haliey Warren; and Gloria Shannon; and great grandparents Donna and Abdullah Al-Jeleel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio, where Life Celebration Services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, Ohio.

Silas will be lovingly remembered for his love of sports, his vibrant personality, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends.
