Terri D Robinson-Yarber

Terri D. Robinson-Yarber, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, August 25th, 2025, at O’Neil Healthcare in North Ridgeville, Ohio at age 67.

She was born on July 25th, 1958, in Lorain, Ohio. She attended Elyria public schools and graduated from Lorain County Community College with an associate degree in accounting. She worked at Giant Eagle for many years, running the service desk and office.

She was passionate about genealogy and was an active member of Oberlin African-American Genealogy and History Group. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with family. Terri was a loving soul, and she will be missed by many.

Terri was preceded in death by her husband, Lyn C. Yarber; parents, Joseph Robinson and Elva J. Robinson; a sister, Thelma Denita Robinson; a brother, David Schumate; and a nephew Aaron Carnes.

She is survived by her sisters, Thelia of Dayton and Tammie of Elyria, and brothers, Billy Ray of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Bobby of Columbus.

Services will be held on Friday, September 5th, 2025, with visitation beginning at 10am followed by services at 11am at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 632 W River Rd N, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Burial will be at Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin.
