Theadore Charles Spencer

Theadore Charles Spencer, 72, of Lorain, Ohio, best known by those who loved him as “T,” “Thea,” “Bobo,” “Papa,” and “Whisper,” departed this life on September 15, 2026.

Theadore was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 14, 1954. He was the middle child of three children. On April 14, 2015, he married the love of his life, Janella, making his birthday and wedding anniversary a special date they shared together.

Theadore attended schools in the Cleveland School District and developed a passion and talent for mechanics. Through his work in various mechanic shops, he became known as a skilled mechanic. He also drove semi-trucks, traveling through various states and experiencing many places along the way. In addition to his work, Theadore had a deep passion for music.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 11 years, Janella; four grandchildren, Breona Hickerson of Fort Worth, Texas; Brandon Hickerson of Oberlin, Ohio; BreAsia Tucker of Cleveland, Ohio; and Braelen Tucker of Lorain, Ohio; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of family members, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Franklin Spencer; his two brothers, Franklin and Delano; his daughter, Mary “Spoonie”; and his grandson, Christian “Chris.”

Family and friends will be received for visitation on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio 44035. Bishop Steve Robinson, Pastor of City of Deliverance, will officiate.
