Thomas Moore, Jr., “Punkin”, a cherished son, brother, uncle, father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and very dear and close friend, passed away unexpectedly at 55 years of age on May 14, 2026.
Thomas was born in Lorain, Ohio to his parents Thomas Henry Moore Sr. and Mary Alice (née Serum) Moore on May 9, 1971.
Thomas was one who loved being around family and friends. He loved fishing, playing cards and games. He loved sports betting, cooking, going out to eat, traveling, cracking jokes, riding motorcycles, driving, helping others in the community and his church family. He loved listening to music and dancing (?) and so much more. He also loved hanging out with his grandchildren at Ti’Niya‘s house.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Shae (nẽe Rucker) Moore—the love of his life—and his children, Ti’Niya Moore, Thomas (Jasmine) Moore, III, Terrence McNeil Jr., and Ti’Jahana McNeil.; his sisters, Queen Esther (Tina), Magalane (Alfonzo) Mitchell, Dorothy “Sista Girl” Moore; brothers, Tommy “Tony” Moore, Roger “PeeWee” Moore; bonus brothers, Robert (Spook) Hughs, Earnest “Ronnie” Cofield (Nest); 2 special nephews, Earnest (Katie) Mitchell Jr. “Pete”, and Floyd (Denise) Moore “Flat Foot”; 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, Jaid and Jaylani; many bonus blessings of children, and grandchildren; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters.
Thomas Moore Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Henry Moore Sr. and Mary Alice (née Serum) Moore; older brother, Grant Gunsby “Jack”; sister, Joanne Moore; a very special niece, Tanisha Shondale Moore; nephew, Douglas Moore; and maternal grandmother, Sally “Tugg” Gunsby; paternal grandparents, John A, Moore and Memphis Moore.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM until time of services at 12:00 PM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain Ohio 44053. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin, Ohio.
