Tuwan Patton was born on January 14, 1966, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Beverly and Bruce Jones. On February 18, 2026, she received her heavenly wings and entered eternal rest.
A 1984 graduate of Admiral King High School, Tuwan accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at a young age and carried her faith with her throughout her life. She was gentle yet genuine, modest yet marvelous, and possessed a quiet strength and warm sense of humor that touched everyone she met.
Tuwan began her career as a candy striper and later explored modeling, radiating beauty both inside and out. An entrepreneur at heart, she owned a childcare business where she lovingly cared for children and supported families. After discovering her passion for nursing, she earned her bachelor’s degree and dedicated herself fully to serving others.
After marrying her husband, Mark Patton, she relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, where she advanced into leadership roles at Norton Hospital and Baptist Health Floyd. Her compassion, competence, and genuine care left a lasting impact on patients, families, and colleagues alike.
To know her was to love her. She will be deeply missed by all who called her “Queen,” wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, and colleague. Her legacy of faith, love, and service will live on forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Mark Patton, her children, Ashley (Tiffany) Ross, Randy Charlton Jr., Mark Jr, Haley, India, Marquise, Lamar and Makaiya Patton, and covenant children; her father, Bruce (Vanessa) Jones, sisters Bridgett (Joe) Hillard, Crystal (Ollie) Higgins, and Angellia Gay, brothers Larry (Crystal) Wylie and Bruce Jones Jr; in-laws Charlene Lurry, James (Julia) Patton, Denise Andres, Kenneth (Sue) Patton, Cassandra (Ralph) Smith, and Michelle Williams; special friends Linda Hughes and Cassandra Rower, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM at Friendship Baptist Church, 2160 Reeves Ave, Lorain OH 44052; Rev. John R. Jackson, Pastor. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
