Walter 'Pedie' E Moody Jr

Walter “Pedie” E. Moody Jr., age 55, passed away unexpectedly on August 28th, 2023.

Pedie was born in Elyria, Ohio on September 25th,1967. Pedie received his G.E.D in June of 1990 and was recently taking online college courses. He always strived to improve himself privately. Pedie spent most of his time outside of work with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan of his favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers and the Chicago Bulls. Pedie spent most of his life working in manufacturing, where he was viewed as a valuable and loyal employee. He was a diligent achiever who often worked overtime and was recently recognized as an outstanding employee at Camaco LLC in Lorain, Ohio.

Pedie was a devoted family man through and through. He loved encouraging others and offering a helping hand whenever he could. Pedie was very supportive and could always be called on whenever his daughters and nieces needed him. He always made it clear he would be there, no matter what the situation. Pedie loved nothing more than spending time with his youngest daughter, Korri. He was a devoted member of Point of Grace Ministries where he served on the Security and the Doorkeeper Ministries. As he walked to fulfill his divine calling within his church body, it was evident he was a protector at heart.

Pedie is survived by his daughters, Korri D. Moody, Elayza L. Scott and Cheyenne S. Krueger; three granddaughters and two grandsons all of Elyria Ohio; his mother, Edwina (Lawson) Johnson of Elyria, Ohio; his father, Walter Moody Sr. of Lorain Ohio; his sisters, Wytina Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Erycka Johnson of Elyria, Ohio, Jada Moody of Cleveland, Ohio, and Devon Moody of Detroit, MI; his brothers, Tracy (Judy) Moody, Todd Moody, James Morris of Lorain, Ohio, and Anthony Moody of Columbus, Ohio. Pedie was always seen as an Uncle-Father to his nieces, Mar’Jon Moody, Prestys Blakely, Ar’yana Allen, Ky’leana Allen, Saige Veliz and Maya Veliz. Pedie is also survived by a host of family and friends.

Pedie was preceded in death by his younger brother Richard E. Moody; maternal grandparents Edwin and Hazel Lawson, paternal grandmother Molly Moody-Pope, and paternal grandfather Willie Pollard.
