Wilbert Leo Jeter, affectionately known as “Jay,” passed away on February 7, 2026, at University Hospital in Elyria, Ohio, following a brief illness.

Born on June 7, 1982, in Lorain, Ohio, Wilbert was born to Virginia Flint and Wilbert L. Jeter, Sr. He attended Lorain City Schools.

Wilbert had a variety of interests. He enjoyed collecting guns and knives, watching action movies, engaging in political discussions, and speaking about issues affecting the Black community. He also loved cooking and was known for his sense of humor—always ready with a kind word or a joke to brighten someone’s day.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbert L. Jeter, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, David C. Flint, Nettie (Chambers) Flint, and Violet Flint; and his paternal grandparents, Cleophas Jeter and Hazel McMillan.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Virginia Flint; his brother, Deon Flint; his sister, Angela Jeter; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM until the time of service at 5:30 PM at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home and Celebration Center, 6075 Middle Ridge Rd, Lorain OH 44053.

The family kindly requests no visitors at the residence.
