Willie Frank “Tude” Anderson, 74, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 1, after living a full life. He was born February 19, 1950, in Port Gibson, Mississippi, to Jesse Anderson and Georgia Graham (Stamps).
He graduated from high school and completed one year of college before joining the military at the age of 23. He served in the US Army for 3 years and after an honorable discharge, moved to Lorain, Ohio just before the January Blizzards of 1977. Wille was a hard-worker and retired from York International, Inc.
Willie was an avid sports fan and an incredible mechanic. He enjoyed spending time spoiling his grandchildren and playing his numbers.
He is survived by two daughters, Arikka Wright and Johnessa Anderson; one son, Travell (Domonique) Anderson; granddaughters, Ayi’ana Anderson, Naomi Anderson, Aliyanna Wooten, A’rryona Edwards, Favor Wright, Fayth Wright, and Fortunate Wright; grandsons, Aaron Brown Jr, Clayshon Wright Jr, Travell Anderson Jr, Moses Wright, and Ar’mello Barth; sisters, Lilly “Sugar” Anderson, Gloria “Kitty” (Freddie) Pickens both of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, George “Richard” (Deloris) Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri and Michael (Jamisha) Graham of Gainesville, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends who will cherish his memory.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Anderson and Georgia Graham (Stamps); and brothers, Jesse “June” Anderson, Ernest “Arm” Stamps, James “Bo” Anderson.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning promptly at 12:00 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home & Celebration Center 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain, OH, 44053. The interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, Ohio, immediately following the services.
